I'm happy to announce that I'm finally returning to in-person classes this September. It's been a long time and I can't wait to see your smiling faces in person again! It's just like Joni Mitchell says, "You don't know what you got til it's gone." I missed our time together so being on our mats again is reason for celebration. My teaching schedule is getting ready to wind down for the summer. Livestream classes will continue through the week of May 16. My last class is May 20. After that I’ll be on summer break. Look for an announcement in mid-September on where and when I’ll be teaching for the fall.

All classes are back in session beginning the week of January 10. Let’s welcome in 2022 together with a class on Monday, January 10 from 7-8:15 PM. This is a Slow Flow practice that will be offered on Zoom as a free class. All are welcome! Advanced reservations are required. New students will be requested to complete a waiver prior to attending. Please register no later than one hour prior to class time. This class will have its own special Zoom link. Students with a current class card will use the special link for the January 10 class only. Upon receiving your reservation the special “one time” Zoom link will be forwarded to your email. Please share this invitation with others.

Live stream yoga class card - $48 for 6 live stream classes. This card never expires. Classes are offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Each class has a different focus. Modifications are offered so as to make classes available to all levels. No reservations are required. Your gift recipient will receive the Zoom link and can participate in classes that fit their schedule
Monthly subscription program - $20 per month. This program offers twelve yoga classes in a variety of styles. This can be purchased as a one-time $20 gift or on a recurring monthly subscription basis. New content is made available each month. You could purchase just one month of yoga or several months of yoga. It's your call!
Private yoga - from $70 to $90 per session depending on the length and service requested. Purchase a 60-90 minute private session. This can be an individualized session where I work with any number of items. Examples are: reviewing alignment on basic yoga poses, addressing specific musculoskeletal issues like low back and/or shoulder/neck issues, flexibility and beginning meditation.
Other programs include a Reiki session, Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation), Restorative Yoga and Somatics. Let me know what you would like and I will put together a program tailored to your request!

Appointments for private yoga therapy are now being taken. A growing body of research shows that yoga can help relieve aches and pains, manage symptoms of chronic disease, reduce stress and improve mental health and well-being. Reiki sessions available as well!
All Janet Tant Yoga classes will be on Thanksgiving break next week. There will be no classes on November 24 & 26. Classes will resume on Monday, November 29 and Friday, December 3, however the Wednesday, December 1st class is cancelled. Have a safe holiday!
The Monthly Subscription Program is a great option if the Livestream classes don't work for your schedule. When you sign up for the program, you will receive all twelve of the classes that I taught the previous month. Each month when your subscription renews you’ll get fresh new content. My intention was to return to in-person classes in mid-September. But just when it felt like things were shifting to a more predictable pattern... BOOM, there's a sharp curve and everything changes again. Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center is requiring both students and instructors to wear masks for classes. The thought of doing yogic breathing with a mask on just doesn't excite me! So I asked y’all to vote. Would you prefer “in-person” yoga with masks or yoga on Zoom?
You voted and we heard you! Over 80% of the votes cast were in favor of holding classes on Zoom and returning to live “in-person” classes once the mask mandate is lifted. Since this was a last minute change, anyone that has signed up for classes through the Mt. Lebanon Rec Department will have the option of receiving a refund or applying it to future live “in-person” classes when they return.

Light a candle, turn on a salt lamp or practice by the fireplace and get ready to ignite and illuminate your heart/mind consciousness with this Winter Solstice class. Please join me for two special Winter Solstice practices next week on Zoom. I’ll be offering a class on Monday, Dec. 21 at 7 PM and a second class on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 11:15 AM. This will be a gentle, meditative practice that features breath and movement with the intention of cultivating the light within. Both classes are 75 minutes in length and both are free classes and open to all. Advanced reservations are required. New students will be requested to complete a waiver prior to attending.
